How may I make a donation to Gifts of Hope?
You have two choices:  Online donations or by check with a donation form

ONLINE DONATIONS:

For online donations, you can make a secure credit card donation to Gifts of Hope (sponsored by the Washington DC Metropolitan Synod of the ELCA)  or to any of the 17 beneficiary organizations via PayPal.

How will gifts made to Gifts of Hope be distributed?

All donations will be distributed to the participating agencies and institutions.

Is my contribution tax-deductible?

Yes.  With all donations you will receive an acknowledgement from Gifts of Hope stating that your donation is fully tax-deductible. 

How much of the Gifts of Hope contributions will go to the agencies and institutions?

All mail-in gifts received through Gifts of Hope go directly to the participating organizations. The administrative costs of Gifts of Hope are underwritten by the agencies and institutions.  The local chapters of Thrivent Financial For Lutherans underwrite the expenses for printing the cards, envelopes, and annual catalog.  For online donations, PayPal has a 2.2% plus 30 cents processing fee.
